Karen, my cat sitter, came to meet my cats prior to the dates that I was gone and to figure out their routine/my setup. She was very easy to reach with questions beforehand. Karen took care of my kittens while I was gone and kept me updated throughout the day which was truly appreciated. I usually go to great lengths to take my cats along with me wherever I go, but that is not always possible. Over the years, Zoe had only been watched by friends and family and had never been boarded. For the first time, I was stuck wi th no one to watch her. I hesitantly contacted Bart and Gabriel upon someone else’s recommendation, thinking it would be best to leave her at home where she was comfortable and everything was familiar. Karen took great care of my little Zoe! She showed up on time and sent me a text and/or photo every time she visited. She made sure Zoe got her medication, food, plenty of water, exercise, and all the treats she was accustomed to over the course of the day. In Zoe’s old age, she wasn’t able to take the steps down to the grass, and Karen was happy to carry up and down to go outside too. It was such a relief knowing Zoe was being well cared for in her own home. I would highly recommend Bart and Gabriel pet sitting to those looking for an alternative to boarding. Karen gave me such peace of mind and I was SO grateful. Thank you!

This was my first experience with hiring a pet sitter, and it couldn’t have been better!  We took our first vacation in 2+ years, leaving behind two cats (one with IBD and medication needs).  Karen was so friendly and helpful in coming out to “meet” me and the cats a couple of times before we left.  She obviously loves animals and was so good with them, even the shy kitty. Throughout our vacation, she kept me updated with texts and did a great job keeping everyone fed, medicated and cleaned up afterwards.  The pile of toys in the living room tells me she also spent a lot of time playing, too  :).  We will definitely be calling Bart and Gabriel the next time we need to go out of town!

Moving day was traumatic with a lot of people moving around the home. Hope was wonderful with Clover. She held her on her lap and wrapped her in her blanket. After being in the hospital for over 7+ weeks I found Bart and Gabriel Pet Sitting to not only be professional also very responsible. Both Natasha and Jacklyn worked around my extended stay in the hospital without any issues. Jacklyn sent me text messages with pictures at each visit of my 2 cats too. At the close of my case, not only did Jacklyn put my apartment back in a clean and proper order, the cats acted as if she had been our family member forever. I have a Doberman that isn’t good with new people. They came over to meet him ahead of my trip and everything went well! I won’t hesitate to use them in the future! Excellent care! I used Bart & Gabriel for a 2 week trip. Not only did my cats make it through two weeks of pet sitting happier and more calmly than ever, the sitter sent me daily updates and pictures. More surprisingly – I received text messages about the apartment being a bit to warm and pictures of the thermostat. It ended up needing repair, and I was able to handle it remotely and avoid roasting the kitties thanks to the sitter. Later in my trip, I receive a phone call from the sitter. My car was being (wrongly) towed when the sitter came for the evening feeding. She used her own money to get the car back and parked the car in a safe spot. ABOVE AND BEYOND. I just booked with them again for an upcoming trip.

They were wonderful and they’re a locally owned small business! They scooped litter boxes, fed them, refilled the water bowl, and tried to make sure she saw each of the cats every day. She also sent me daily texts, which was very nice; it gave me peace of mind that she was there every day, and it let me see my little fur-buddies, who I was missing while we were gone. We opted for the short visit service since cats don’t need much, and it was only $15 per day in Grove City. There were other options for longer stays and more interaction with our pets. I highly recommend Bart & Gabriel.

She noticed that one of our kittens had an especially stubborn stuffy nose and encouraged us to check with our vet about it. Even though my cat has a food dispenser and is fairly low maintenance, having Natasha come regularly gives me peace of mind that someone will be there to make sure the food and water dispensers continue to function, and that the litter box won’t get too full while I’m gone. We had terrible timing and had to leave our cat (Allie) home alone only a couple of days after moving to a new house, but our minds were put at ease knowing Natasha would be checking in on Allie. She also collected our mail and made sure the temperature in the house was regulated for Allie’s comfort. We returned to find Allie calm and well cared-for. I had never had to use a pet sitting service before and was nervous how my dog would react. But when I moved to OH with no family and friends to puppy sit over the holidays, pet sitting was a must. I loved the fact that even though it was the holidays which can be a busy time, Natasha made room to pet sit my dog Gemma. She came twice a day to let Gemma out, play with her and feed her. They also took care of my cat (feeding and scooping the litter box) at no extra cost. It was last minute for us to have to find a sitter for our dog and no one in the family was available. I looked up my options and Bart and Gabriel Pet Sitting came up and I liked what I saw. I looked them up on Wednesday and Natasha came out Friday morning and we filled out paperwork and met Henry. You do need documentation from your vet that your dog is up on their shots. I needed to go out of town for 2 weeks due to business and this was my first experience at hiring a pet sitter. I was more than a little nervous as one of my 2 pets was having a medical issue with a pinched nerve in her neck. When Natasha and I met for the first time I liked her immediately and my 2 dachshunds even more so I know I made the right choice. I explained to Natasha about needing to dispense the necessary medication to the pet involved and I was relieved she had no problem with it, just needing to have the name and number of their vet should an emergency arise.

When I got home everything was in order; the mail and papers were picked up etc. I emailed Natasha twice just to see how everything was going at home and was satisfied that she had everything under control and I needn’t have worried. I particularly liked the fact that Natasha treated this as a business. When its your business and reputation and stake, then its all the more important.

Regarding the review from a previous client and the large dog; I think you were a little too hard on Natasha. Yes, smaller dogs don’t incite the fear in someone as larger dogs (especially when they are coming directly at you) but its all in how sociable a dog is trained to be and the dog in question sounded as though it needed more sociability training.

We had never used a pet sitting service prior to our family’s nine-day vacation this summer to the Grand Canyon and Yellowstone. That’s a long way from our home in Ohio, and a long time to be away from our pets! Knowing kenneling our dogs would mean they would be uprooted and be living in an unfamiliar place with all those strange smells, routines, etc., we opted to give a pet sitting service a try. As it turns out, Natasha came to our home to meet the dogs and familiarize herself with their routines and preferences and get to know them a bit before we were gone. Keeping them in their own home and routine meant they were calm and happy the duration of our trip. Natasha and Debbie didn’t stop there however. They e-mailed updates to us as to any mail or notes that were left for our family, watered our plants and turned on lights and opened/closed blinds to give the appearance someone was home. When we returned home from our trip late at night, we were pleasantly surprised to see they had thoughtfully left the exterior lights on for us which made us feel safe and welcome to be home. Every detail was attended to, even things we hadn’t considered!

At the initial appointment, Natasha was very thorough finding out about all of our pets and their special needs, personalities etc. Since Debbie was the person who would actually take care of the pet sitting duties, she also came to visit us and our pets before we left on vacation. Debbie did an excellent job, texting us updates and photos each time she went to our house. For once, I didn’t have to worry about my pets welfare while I was away. We heard about Bart & Gabriel Pet Sitting from a friend at my husband’s work. Natasha came out to the house to meet everyone (our dogs, Zoey and Melody, our cat, Ace, our bird, Lily, and our big toad, Samson. She took detailed notes on how we care for them all (they each have their quirks). We left on our trip confident they and our home would be well cared for. I still worried as this was our pets first experience having someone else come take care of them but I didn’t need to worry at all. I used Bart & Gabriel Pet sitting for my cat when I traveled out of town for 3 weeks. I scheduled about 9 visits, where the pet sitter would come feed, clean and play with my cat. I initially called the pet sitting service and discussed my needs with the owner. We set up a time for her to come to my apartment and complete paperwork. This process took less than 30 minutes. I recommend preparing a typed list of any instructions you want the pet sitter to follow (special feeding instructions, medications, special requests, location of cleaning supplies) so you can breeze through this part of the meeting. I simply wrote it out on her documents. The owner was no doubt an avid animal lover and asked all the right questions. I felt really comfortable with her and her expertise. While away on my trip, she sent me frequent updates of my cat via email and text.

We have a pet turtle named Walter who is stubborn and takes awhile to warm up to new people. My wife and I were going on our honeymoon and didn’t have anyone to care for him.
